Hello Gretsch enthusiasts… and welcome to my site! My name is Ed Ball and I am a self-proclaimed “Gretsch Guy”! Over the past decade I have dedicated a lot of time to passionately researching and promoting the amazing instruments that the original Brooklyn-based Gretsch Company produced. I have published material that offers both education and celebration of these guitars. In my travels I’ve encountered many other Gretsch fans who desire to understand more about the guitars that they love. With this site I’ve endeavored to establish a place where I can direct visitors to a variety of resources that exist on Gretsch topics. So come on in, and see what’s here!

Keep an eye out for my article in the October issue of Vintage Guitar magazine, featuring the recently discovered 1954 prototypical Chet Atkins 6120. This guitar is one of only three such prototypes known to exist from the infamous #137xx batch, and it provides a glimpse into the origins of this iconic guitar model. The October issue will hit the newsstands in mid-August.
